Last week El País published “Estados Unidos lee en español”, an article on the changes for the Spanish publishing industry in the U.S. According to the author, Andrea Aguilar, there has been a growing demand of Spanish books in the U.S., but the supply has not been very well organized. “The book market for Hispanics has been developing and according to 2010 estimates, amounts to one billion dollars of which 20 to 35% is from books published in Spanish,” the author indicated.
