Clara Cortes wins award for her book “Al final de la calle 18”, a novel on a difficult relationship between two orphan sisters.

The winning novel was picked out of 199 manuscripts in Spanish and Catalan submitted by writers worldwide. Writer’s ages range from 19 to 25 years old. The award is granted by Plataforma Editorial and sponsored by “La Caixa”.

The author, who is 18 years old, will receive 3,000 Euros and her book published by imprint Plataorma Neo in May.

Spanish writer Alba Cortes received an honorary award for her novel “La chica del león negro”.
