Writer Andres Trapiello “translates” Don Quixote to contemporary Spanish

This modernized edition, by publisher Destino, will release on June 2nd and will include a prologue by Literature Nobel Prize Winner Mario Vargas Llosa.

Trapiello is the author of many literary works such as “When Don Quixote died” (Al morir Don Quijote), as well as “Sancho Panza’s finale and other affairs” (El final de Sancho Panza y otras suertes); “he has done a great job ‘fully and faithfully’ rewriting Miguel de Cervantes’ masterpiece resulting in a rejuvenated work in which the original content prevails”, says the Literature Nobel Prize laureate.
