“The Fault in Our Stars” topped Spain's bestseller charts last year, according to a new study, which shows Spaniards opened their wallets for a mixture of home-grown talent and international authors last year.

“The report into Spain’s book buying habits was compiled by consultancy Nielson using data from Bookscan, which took into account book shop and supermarket sales but not online buys, according to the Spanish Huffington Post,” says The Local es. “The list is a mixture of Spanish-language and international authors, with five books having been written by Spanish-language writers and five by writers of other nationalities.”
