“Prohibido entrar sin pantalones”, winner of the Bienal de Novela Mario Vargas Llosa 2014 is published

This historical novel by Juan Bonilla is inspired on the life of the Russian provocative and radical poet Vladimir Maiakovski. The book is being published by Planeta.

Based on true events, this historical novel takes the reader to Russia in the early twentieth century to present the life of the futuristic Maiakovski, who passing through different cities always proved to be an arrogant and narcissistic dreamer who believed in the future.”

Juan Bonilla (Jerez, 1966) is the author of four novels and six books of stories, among them El Estadio de Mármol(Seix Barral, 2005). He won the 2003 Premio Biblioteca Breve with Los príncipes nubios and the Premio Mario Vargas Llosa the best book of stories for Tanta gente sola (Seix Barral, 2009). Bonilla will be at the Hay Festival and Guadalajara International Book Fair 2014.
