Instituto Cervantes Chicago celebrates Book Day

The Chicago branch of Instituto Cervantes has several activities through the day to commemorate World Book Night Book, on April 23rd. From readings and story telling to exhibitions and workshops, even roses for those who check out books from their library that day.





Don Quixote Live Reading

The open and dynamic nature of this community event encourages the public to take part at any time throughout the uninterrupted nine hour reading of Cervantes’s famous work.

According to the Catalan Tradition of St. Jordi, we will offer one rose to each person who checks out a book from our library.
