The festival, from January 30 to February 2, included 90 events with the participation of authors Ricardo Piglia, Irvine Welsh, Chad Hardbach, John Boyne, Emmanuel Carrère, David Foenkinos, Rosa Montero, Clara Sanchez, Vicente Molina Foix and Cees Noteboom; philosophers and journalists included Felipe González, Joe Sacco, Yoani Sanchez, Michael Sandel, Enrique Krauze, Ignacio Ramonet, Rudiger Sanfranky and Beatriz Preciado; and film-makers Juan Campanella and Gael García Bernal.
