Madrid Book Fair News. Editorial Kairós wins the National Prize for Best Cultural Publisher

“Kairós has won the National Prize for Best Cultural Publisher for 2016 “for being an undisputed leader in the publishing sector, helping to provide answers to several generations of Spanish readers.”

May 30th, 2016. Kairós has “a catalogue of a thousand titles created over the past fifty years with coherence and dedication, independence and rigour, continuity and a determination to last the course.”

The prize, given by the Ministry of Education, Sport and Culture, has the objective of “Honouring the publishing work of a natural or legal person who has made an outstanding and innovative contribution to Spanish cultural life.” As a symbolic honour, the award does not include prize money.

Founded in 1965 by Salvador Pániker, a philosopher and engineer, and run since the 90s by his son Agustín, the publisher celebrated its fiftieth anniversary in 2015.”
