Spanish Publishers’ hottest fiction titles for 2016

Spanish Publishers have already settled on the authors they’re betting on this year. In this Special, we reveal the books that will soon be appearing in the new releases section of Spanish bookshops.
Spring – Summer 2016

APRIL

This Spring, Harper Collins Ibérica, the new Spanish affiliate of the large American group of the same name, will be publishing Canción de cuna de Auschwitz (Auschwitz Lullaby) by Mario Escobar, a novel set in the Second World War inspired by real events, which tells the story of a young German mother who helps to save over a hundred children from the nursery set up at the notorious concentration camp. The rights are handled by Agencia Literaria Silvia Bastos.

April will also see the publication of La mejor de las vidas (The Best of Lives) by David de Juan, a novel set in Rome, Amsterdam, Paris and Africa, portraying the emotional journey of three characters who dream of saving the world. The rights are managed by Déborah Albardonedo Agencia Literaria.

Ediciones B will be adding to their historical novel collection with the publication of El Rey pequeño (The Little King) by Antonio Pérez Henares, the author of the bestselling La tierra de Álvar Fáñez (The Land of Álvar Fáñez), a novel about Alfonso VIII set in the Spanish middle ages. Rights are handled directly by Ediciones B.
