The jury awarded the Spanish author with this year's Planeta Award for her novel: "Hombres desnudos" (Naked men).

The winning author gets 601,000 Euros (close to $ 684,000 U.S. dollars) as part of the Planeta Award recognition.

Jimenez Bartlett is a Spanish literature professor for the University of Barcelona, and has also obtained the Nadal literary award in 2011 for her book "Donde nadie te encuentre" (Where no one can find you).
