Spain’s publishing industry showed signs of recovery in 2014.

Book publishing grew close to 2% on 2014 compared to the previous year.

While printed books increased in number of copies published, e-books saw a decrease of similar ratio.

Of the entire book production, 75% of publishing programs involved physical books, 25% pertained to e-books.

The Education, Culture and Sports Bureau of Spain reported an overview of the country’s editorial production last year. Translations to Spanish account for 21.2% from English which is the most translated language.
