Arturo Perez-Reverte is named winner of Spain’s prestigious Liber literary award.

Spain’s Publishing Guild Federation has decided to grant the Spanish writer this award as most recognized author, along with Manuel Borras (co-fonder of Editorial Pre-Textos) for his professional career in the world of literature.

The winners will be honored during the a special celebration on October 8, as a way to recognize the combined efforts of different individuals and organizations in favor of books.

Barcelona’s “Libreria Laie” has also been recognized, in this case with the “Boixareu Ginesta” award as the bookseller of the year for “its decisive contribution to promoting books and literacy”.
