October's books consolidate their position on the best-seller list. The top spot is taken by the latest from the quintessential best-selling author of historical novels,
Ken Follett, who in ‘El círculo de los días’ takes us far, far back to the time of the construction of the legendary Stonehenge. High up the list is ‘Misión en Paris,’ the eagerly awaited new novel starring Arturo Pérez-Reverte's archetypal Capitán Alatriste.
Also noteworthy are the new book by Dan Brown, which in ‘El último secreto’ takes his intrepid Robert Langdon to Prague, another novel by Leonardo Padura, ‘Morir en la arena,’ a raw story of love, secrets, and death that explores the dramatic decline of Cuba, and ‘Comerás flores,’ the much-talked-about debut by Lucía Solla Sobral, which tells the murky love story of a couple with a big age difference.
Another new release is the latest novel by Planeta Prize winner Luz Gabás, who in ‘Corazón de oro’ transports the reader to mid-19th century California with a story about kindness, greed, and the price of fulfilling dreams. And still holding on in the list is the increasingly spectacular sales phenomenon ‘La península de las casa vacías,’ by David Uclés.
