Spain will be the Guest of Honor Country at the Panama International Book Fair 2024 with the slogan 'El lenguaje que nos abraza'

‘El lenguaje que nos abraza’ (The language that embraces us) will be the motto of Spain's program as Guest of Honor Country at the Panama Book Fair 2024.

This was announced today by the Spanish ambassador to Panama, Guzmán Palacios, at the presentation of the agenda of activities prepared by the Ministry of Culture, with the collaboration of Acción Cultural Española (AC/E); the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation, through the Embassy of Spain in Panama; and the Federation of Publishers' Guilds of Spain (FGEE). The event will take place from August 13 to 18 at the Atlapa Convention Center in Panama City.

Spain will have an official pavilion of 135 square meters, where visitors will be able to see a complete overview of Spanish publishing, as well as the exhibition ‘Lo mejor del siglo de oro’ (The Best of the Golden Age) by Spanish-Japanese comic author Ken Niimura, who has translated the most outstanding characters of that literary era into manga. There will also be a professional space with the presence of the publishing houses Marge Books, Eunsa, Innovación y Cualificación, Ediciones Perelló, Unión Editorial, CSIC and the Centro de Estudios Políticos y Constitucionales (CEPC).
