Fernando Aramburu publishes new novel, 'El Niño'.

The writer Fernando Aramburu publishes his new novel El Niño (Tusquets), about the tragic event that occurred in Ortuella in 1980 with a gas explosion in a school that killed 50 children.

As Aramburu explained in an interview with Europa Press, it does not take the form of a report, but rather focuses on overcoming various duels of its protagonists.

Death is at the center of this work, a death that the Basque author admits "should not be given much thought to" nor should it cause much ‘distress.’ "I am fully aware of our temporary condition and I have perfectly assumed this, for I have known since I was a child what the game consists of," he stated.
